A Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility

PULMONARY REHAB
Our Pulmonary/Respiratory therapy Program
At Spring Mountain Rehab, we offer individualized and compassionate pulmonary rehabilitation programs designed to support patients with various lung conditions. Our mission is to provide a warm, supportive environment facilitated by our exceptionally skilled providers.
Our Team and Personalized Approach
Led by Certified Respiratory Therapists Dorothy Turner and Gail McCann, who bring 15-20 years of experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, our team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and personalized approach. Each patient receives an individualized exercise program designed to enhance breathing capacity and function, with a keen focus on adapting techniques to meet their specific needs and environment. In addition to physical training, our program emphasizes education on lung conditions and breathing techniques. Patients learn strategies to breathe more efficiently, conserve energy, and redirect their focus toward daily activities, ultimately reducing sedentary time and enhancing overall well-being.
Who Can Benefit from Our Pulmonary Rehab Program?
Our outpatient pulmonary rehab program is specifically tailored for individuals experiencing:
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): A progressive lung disease that includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, COPD makes it difficult to breathe and can significantly impact daily life. Our program helps patients manage symptoms and improve lung function.
- Chronic Bronchitis: Characterized by persistent coughing and mucus production, chronic bronchitis can lead to increased difficulty in breathing. Our rehab program focuses on breathing exercises and techniques to help alleviate symptoms and enhance lung capacity.
- Emphysema: This condition involves damage to the air sacs in the lungs, leading to shortness of breath. Our tailored exercise regimens are designed to strengthen respiratory muscles and improve overall endurance.
- Lung Cancer: Patients undergoing treatment for lung cancer often experience respiratory complications. Our program provides supportive care, helping patients maintain their strength and manage symptoms during and after treatment.
- Pulmonary Fibrosis: A condition that causes lung tissue to become thick and stiff, pulmonary fibrosis can severely limit lung function. Our rehabilitation services aim to improve breathing efficiency and enhance quality of life for affected individuals.
- Post Lung Transplant: Following a lung transplant, patients face unique challenges in recovery. Our program offers specialized support to help improve lung function and adapt to new breathing patterns.
- Pulmonary Hypertension:
- This condition causes high blood pressure in the lungs, leading to shortness of breath and fatigue. Our rehab team provides education and strategies to manage symptoms and improve physical stamina.
CARDIAC REHAB
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program is designed to support Phase II cardiac patients recovering from cardiovascular events through a comprehensive approach that includes exercise, education, and counseling. A key component of our program is the use of advanced “telemetry monitoring”, which ensures the safety and effectiveness of exercise during rehabilitation.

What is Telemetry?
Telemetry involves the continuous monitoring of a patient’s heart activity using specialized devices. This technology allows us to observe the heart’s electrical activity in real-time, providing critical insights into:
- Heart Rhythm: We monitor for regularity in heartbeats and can quickly identify any abnormal rhythms, such as arrhythmias, that may arise during physical activity.
- Abnormal Beat Detection: Our telemetry systems are designed to detect irregular heartbeats, ensuring immediate intervention if necessary.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: We track vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, to ensure patients are exercising safely and effectively.
Who Can Benefit from Cardiac Rehab?
Our Phase II cardiac rehabilitation is appropriate for patients recovering from various conditions, including:
- Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack)
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Heart Valve Surgery
- Stable Chronic Heart Failure
- Heart Transplantation
- Stable Angina
Through our structured program, patients engage in supervised exercise designed to enhance cardiovascular health, improve functional capacity, and reduce the risk of future cardiac events. At our facility, we are committed to providing personalized care that empowers our patients on their journey to recovery and improved heart health.
